Overview:

It has been over a year since Gartner added "Gamification" to its 2011 Hype Cycle for Emerging Technologies and it again included it in their 2012 list as well.  According to Gartner "Gamification" as a trend is "at its peak".  Deloitte also has listed"Gamification" as #2 in its Tech Trends 2012 list.

Wikipedia provides two definitions of "Gamification", "the use of game mechanics and game design techniques in non-game contexts" and  "Gamification is about achieving goals using an engaging set of metrics-based interaction."

In this exciting and engaging panel discussion we will attempt to answer the question: Is "Gamification" a sound (behavioral) science-based approach to more effectively engaging with prospects and customers or is it simply.....over-hyped b.s?
