For most Product Managers, “Marketing” is the part of their job or team that focuses on demand generation (advertising, events, campaigns, lead generation, and PR). A recent article in On Product Management argues that it also includes other areas where market, customer and product knowledge are required such as evangelism, analyst relations, sales funnel analysis and optimization, working on product, market or competitive strategy and high value content creation.

In this month's TPMA meeting, guest speaker Paul Miles will share his marketing insights and stories from over 20 years international experience working with Coca-Cola and other brands in FMCG, retail, luxury, tourism, leisure, tobacco, transportation, energy, health, congress and education. Paul will discuss some recent marketing projects with Canadian companies such as RIM, Koodo Mobile and Rogers, and the lessons learned from what worked and what didn't work. In this session you will learn about some of the latest technologies being used to drive marketing results and what these companies are thinking about Social Media in their marketing mix.
