April's event is a bit of a field trip for TPMA folks, and an opportunity for DMZ members to join in on a TMPA meeting right in their own backyard. The meeting will be held at the funky start-up space at Ryerson University (former offices of Google Canada). It will kick-off in typical style, with food and networking. Then, those new to DMZ will get a guided tour of the facility – describing the incubator, its companies and unique offering, while DMZ folks can hang back and hear about what the Toronto Product Management Association has to offer. All attendees will come together for a talk held by Roadmunk, a DMZ start-up that has words of advice for all product managers - entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs alike!

A bit more on the presentation...

Early stage founders at their core are product managers. They have the opportunity to leverage a handful of key insights from product managers to make their early product successful. Latif Nanji, CEO & Co-founder of Roadmunk, will outline what those key insights are so founders and those working with innovations within their companies can rise above the noise in their market.

Latif is co-founder and CEO of Roadmunk, a data visualization platform that enables product managers and their teams to communicate the strategic roadmap throughout their organization. Roadmunk is product to have customers such as Coke-a-Cola, Citibank, Urban Outfitters, Adobe, Walt Disney and St. Jude's Hospital. Previously, he co-founded Pokerspace.com, an online social network for poker players. He’s raised over $3mil in venture and angel funding and most recently was a Senior Product Manager at Miovision for both their software and internal tools teams. He has a background in design, product management, sales and all things startup. He is an avid reader, rock climber, improv actor, and skier.
